Dolphin Cay Atlantis is home to Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins and shares with Atlantis guests the opportunity to meet and interact with dolphins in an unparalleled encounter that is enriching for both guests and animals. The first residents to live at this state-of-the-art facility were 16 of the dolphins swept to sea during Hurricane Katrina from their previous home at the Marine Life Oceanarium in Gulfport, Mississippi. A portion of the proceeds from the dolphin programs is donated to the Atlantis Blue Project — a private, nonprofit foundation fostering the preservation and enhancement of global marine ecosystems through scientific research, education and community outreach. To ensure the safety of our animals, personal cameras (including those in cellphones or other electronic devices) cannot be used during your program. An on-staff photographer documents each interaction and photos are available for purchase at the end of your session. We recommend booking your marine interactions prior to your resort arrival.
Insider Tip: When booking a deep water swim at Dolphin Cay, you receive a snorkel, mask and souvenir bag to keep and take home! Book your experience on the front end of your trip so you can enjoy your new snorkeling gear during the rest of your stay.
