Packing Lists

Wondering what to pack for your Bahamian getaway? We are here to help!

Clothing and Shoes

We recommend loose, airy clothing during the daytime, a bathing suit, a light sweater or jacket (for drafty indoor air-conditioning or cooler outside nights), and comfortable shoes to explore the resort. Water shoes are also great for little ones to wear while walking through the water park.
Insider Tip: Make sure you pack your swimsuit in your carry-on. Check-in is at 4pm, but if you arrive early and your room isn’t quite ready yet, use one of our complimentary In-Transit Hospitality Lounges to change into your beach gear and store your luggage with the bellman and enjoy the fun-filled day!

Packing List

1. Passport
US and Bahamas Immigration laws require all travels to have a valid passport
2. Major Credit Card
You will need a credit card (or a cash deposit) at check-in for incidentals. Also make sure to contact your bank ahead of your travel
3. Prepare For the Sun
Check your favorite weather source and pack accordingly. Bring plenty of sunscreen (it can be more expensive in The Bahamas). For extra shade, rent one of our private poolside cabanas in Aquaventure water park
4. Your Camera
Capture every Atlantis moment and share your pictures with #AtlantisResort on social media.
For even more Instagrammable photos, bring a waterproof camera
5. Snorkel and Mask
Snorkel in the crystal clear water of The Bahamas with your own set or rent equipment from Blue Adventures. TIP: Receive a FREE snorkel and mask when you book a Deep Water Swim at Dolphin Cay
6. Did Someone Say 141- Acre Water Park?!
Pack your swimsuit and sandals for the water park, miles of beaches, and 11 pools (water shoes are recommended for children walking around the pool areas)
7. Sneakers and Workout Gear
Your stay at Atlantis includes access to the Fitness Center. For those looking to run around and through Atlantis, ask for a jogging map at the front desk
8. Phone and Computer Chargers
Atlantis has US standardized voltage capacity.  All European appliances require an adapter.
9. Island-Style
Atlantis is a mostly casual resort – beachwear like flip-flops, shorts, and t-shirts are welcome almost everywhere; however some fine dining restaurants will have a dress code.
Ladies - sundresses are a great option as they are easy to pack and great for day or night. A light sweater for the evenings is recommended during the cooler months (Dec – Feb)
Other Helpful Packing Tips:
In addition to bathroom amenities like shampoo & soap, all Atlantis rooms have hair dryers, irons and ironing boards, a coffee pot with Starbucks coffee, phones for local calls, and a safe. Rooms at Beach Tower and Coral Towers do NOT have minibars so you may want to stock up on snacks at one of our Sundry Stores. Atlantis provides beach and pool towels as well as life jackets. Beach toys can be purchased at the Towel Huts located throughout Aquaventure.

While we wish we could ensure the sun is always guaranteed, we recommend you check your favorite weather source for any weather-related updates in order to pack accordingly.
The climate in the Bahamas is sub-tropical with the average temperatures range between 70 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.  The wet season is from June through November, which is also the hurricane season while December through May is the dry season with much cooler and less humidity.  Please check your favorite weather source.
